Abstract

The Turkish literary language, revealed in such texts as Dîvânu Lugâti't-Türk, Kutadgu Bilig, Yunus Emre
Divanı, and Garîbname, was enriched by another İstanbul literary language after the conquest of İstanbul.
Necati Bey stands out among the names that played a leading role in the processing of this written
language. His poems, written in his unique style, have features that will contribute to the emergence of
Turkish as a language of civilization. Necati is one of the pioneers in the formation of the Turkish language
of civilization. Necati, who occupies an important place in classical Turkish poetry, was born in Edirne. He
lived in the 15th century and lived through the era of Fatih and Bayazid II. He is considered one of the poets
who brought original poetry that was not influenced by the Iranian language on Anatolia. His poems
contain local dialects, proverbs, and idioms. These poems initiated the formation of a literary language
based on İstanbul Turkish in Anatolia. The features of his poems will be explored from this perspective,
thereby revealing that his work is more than just writing poetry. The article will study Necati Bey's
contribution to Turkish poetry from the perspective of the language of civilization. His poems will be
analyzed in this particular respect, resulting in the conclusion that his work is much more than just writing
poetry.
